Mai Khao Beach, Phuket

At 9 kilometres (5 1/2 miles), Mai Khao is the longest beach on the island of Phuket. Renowned for its pristine white sand and serene surroundings, Mai Khao forms a part of the Sirinath National Park, hence making it a protected area that is largely free from commercial development.

Mai Khao's protected status, and the name "Turtle Cove", can be attributed to it being a sea turtle nesting area.
